A fabulous Antique Suffragette pendant made Circa 1910. The piece is adorned with a large oval cut Amethyst in the centre which is approx. 6ct and accompanied by a rich green 0.80ct Peridot dropper.
Suffragettes liked to be depicted as feminine. Their jewellery was chosen to counter the stereotypes put forward by opponents and popularly consisted of Violet, Green and White stones which carried the message: Green for Give, white for Women and violet for Votes!
The piece is a wonderful design with a floral wreath surrounding the centre Amethyst decorated with lustrous Pearls.
It is crafted in 18ct Yellow Gold and would look wonderful suspended from a Gold chain.
