Chokeberry Brilliant
A medium-sized, upright, deciduous shrub with oval shiny leaves. Aronia x prunifolia Brilliant bears small white fragrant flowers in May which are followed by glossy bright, red berries from September which are very attractive to birds. These berries are edible but extremely astringent when raw and best made into jam. Exceptional scarlet Autumn colour.
Site: Tolerates some exposure
Soil: Moist to well drained, neutral to acid
Position: Full sun or partial shade
